No, we don’t mean throw it out. We mean donning your dress after your wedding day for one last photo shoot — a shoot where you don’t care how your dress looks when it’s over. Water, dirt, grease — it’s all fair game for brides who want to trash their dress.
But photographers told Lifetime’s Get Married that there’s another reason brides want to “trash the dress”: it’s a chance to be the subject of a glamorous photo shoot and get magazine-style pictures. Brides have visited waterfalls, the beach, the woods, grungy city alleyways and mechanic’s garages in their bridal gowns.
Of course, your shoot might not really trash your dress, and in most cases, you can probably get the damage cleaned. Nevertheless, an anything-goes photo shoot is probably not for someone who hopes to see her daughter walk down the aisle in the same dress.
