Realtors, Blue Crabs Team Up for Homes Sweet Homers

Home Sweet Homers (1)Up to 20 homes could to be given away at Southern Maryland Blue Crabs games this season!

WALDORF, MD – It’s a warm summer night in Waldorf. The lights are on, and the home team is up to bat in Southern Maryland Blue Crabs light blue and white.

The pitch comes, the batter swings – it’s a home run!

And if that home run is in the right place at certain Blue Crabs home games this season, up to 20 lucky fans could win something huge: A new home.

The Southern Maryland Real Estate Network is proud to partner with Exit Landmark Realty REALTORS®

Anna Jones and Kimberly Bean, Marrick Homes, Southern Maryland Title, and Southern Trust Mortgage to cosponsor “Homes Sweet Homers” with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

“I can’t think of a more fun way to get someone into a new home,” said Bean, who is also founder of the

Southern Maryland Real Estate Network. “A home run could make the Blue Crabs and one lucky fan a big winner!”

“We’re excited to be part of this epic promotion” said Jay Webster, Vice President of Marketing for Marrick Homes. “The only question is: How many homes will be given away?”

Robert Burke, President of Southern Maryland Title added, “All eyes will be on that home run target this summer. I hope the Blue Crabs have been practicing their swings – and their aim!”

Here’s how Homes for Homers works: At each Friday and Saturday home night this season, fans in attendance will be able to enter the drawing. A randomly selected fan’s name will be chosen, and if a Blue Crabs player hits a home run through the target beyond the outfield wall at Regency Furniture

Stadium, the fan wins a new home!

Up to 20 homes could be given away this season.

“We’re excited to cheer on the home team – and maybe put a fan into a new home,” said Jones. “I know

I’ll be on the edge of my seat each weekend waiting to see a winner!”

“A home run is exciting no matter when it’s hit,” added Jeff Gay, Branch Manager and Loan Officer of

Southern Trust Mortgage. “I can’t wait to hear the crowd roar when a ball goes through that target.”

The promotion is not only the largest one for the 2015 Blue Crabs season – it’s also the largest in the team’s history.

“We are extremely excited that we get to add another element of suspense to our games with the possibility of giving away a house,” said Courtney Knichel, Assistant General Manager of the Southern

Maryland Blue Crabs. “While other teams are making their featured promotions things like hats and shirts, the Blue Crabs are ready to give away houses if a player can deliver a home run in the right spot.”

The contest is free to enter for ticket holders at Friday and Saturday night games – including Opening Day on April 24. Fans who want more chances to win can purchase the “House Party Ticket Plan,” which includes the same great seat at Friday and Saturday night games, bonus entries to the house giveaway, and other VIP benefits.
