Real SoMd Wedding: Personal Touches and a Stunning Sunset

Rain fell off and on during Alex and Chris’ May 14, 2016, wedding day, but the showers did nothing to dampen their spirits. In fact, it led to dramatic sunset photos that were one more unique piece of the personalized day the couple had planned for themselves. Handwritten place cards and table numbers – made by one of the bridesmaids – led guests to their seats; each had a hand-drawn crab in various shades of purple. A friend of the groom officiated the ceremony, adding stories and humor to make the event unique to Alex and Chris. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped in lace from the groom’s mother’s wedding dress, and the couple’s dog was present for preparation and beach photos. At the end of the day, all of the guests joined Alex and Chris on the dance floor for one last song, a moment that the bride told us was one of her favorites.
