Beth and Burt met at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, so Historic St. Mary’s City was a natural choice for their Oct. 3, 2016, wedding. But Mother Nature had other ideas, and Hurricane Joaquin forced a change in plans. Rather than a riverside wedding with a tented reception, Beth and Burt worked with planners to move their celebration inside the historic State House.
Each guest was given a handmade favor: The spices needed for the couple’s famous breakfast potatoes, with a link to the recipe on their wedding website.
