Real SoMd Wedding: Fun in Fuchsia at National Harbor

When Christina and Ken married in August 2012, they had one goal for their reception: They wanted it to be fun. Capital “F” fun. So, they decorated the Cherry Blossom Ballroom at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor to look like a night club. The lighting was dim, there were accents of bright pink and platinum everywhere, and a DJ pumped out music for dancing. A lounge area encouraged guests to relax and chat, and a candy bar offered sweet treats for them to enjoy. For favors, Christina and Ken hired caricature artists to sketch the guests so each had some art to take home.

A quick look at Christina and Ken’s photos by Spence Photographics tells you this happy couple accomplished their goal!
