When they married overlooking Breton Bay, Brenda and Dan wanted to share touches of Southern Maryland with their guests. The couple used local, in-season flowers throughout their June 21, 2014, celebration – bouquets of magenta peonies, blue and white hydrangeas, yellow billyballs, and a succulent; and centerpieces of brightly colored local flowers arranged in antique milk bottles that the bride and her mother collected from local antique shops. Guests were given a true taste of Southern Maryland for a wedding favor: Small bottles of Old Bay seasoning with a crab recipe from both the bride and groom’s families.
Brenda and Dan also shared their history with their guests. Childhood photos were on every table – their age in the photos corresponded with the table number. And, as she walked down the aisle, Brenda wore jewelry Dan has given her throughout their years together.
