The first name in planning a wedding in Southern Maryland is SoMdWeddings.com. We've worked hard to make our website a truly local publication, from our vendor list to the stories we write. Read more about some of the site's features and its statistics below.

Site features:
Directory: SoMdWeddings.com is the only place on the web that lists vendors specific to Southern Maryland. More than 800 businesses are listed in our Service Provider Directory. Vendors from outside of Calvert, Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties have asked to be listed on our site, but we're sticking to our mission of serving the Southern Maryland market.
Planning Tools: Wedding trends articles and our growing Resources section give brides valuable planning tips and advice. They can submit questions to "Ask the Wedding Planner" or talk to other brides in our message boards.
REAL SoMd Weddings: We encourage brides to invite us to their weddings - we photograph the reception room and ceremony. We report on the wedding on SoMdWeddings.com so visitors to our site can get ideas, inspiration and vendor ideas from other brides.
Vendor Profiles: We spend a lot of time meeting with vendors in person and profiling them on our site - a way for brides and vendors to virtually "meet." A different vendor is featured on our homepage each week, and many vendors use the text we've written as the content for their feature vendor pages.
E-Newsletters: We communicate with our brides through weekly and monthly newsletters. The weekly newsletter tells them the week's feature vendor and wedding trends subject. The monthly newsletter offers more in-depth stories, tips and information about new features on the site. To read last issues, visit our archives.
Shopping: Soon, we'll be expanding the shopping section of our website and giving brides ideas for how they can incorporate some of those items into their weddings.
