Our Mission
The Southern Maryland Wedding Guide serves brides, grooms and wedding service providers in Calvert, Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties. We offer planning tools and advice, information about local vendors and opportunities for Southern Maryland vendors to reach their target audience -- Southern Maryland brides. We strive to keep our publications local and only list vendors from the four counties.
About Us
When she launched the Southern Maryland Wedding Guide website in December 2002, Founder and CEO Kimberly Bean had two goals: simplify the wedding planning process for brides and help local wedding service providers grow their businesses. Southern Maryland was often lumped into the "Greater Washington" area by other bridal guides, and there was no central location that listed wedding service providers in Calvert, Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties.
Since then, the Southern Maryland Wedding Guide has continued to grow. The site averages 30,000 to 35,000 page views per month; we publish a print magazine and host a yearly bridal show. We have brand recognition throughout Southern Maryland among brides and wedding service providers.
