We have hosted our first four bridal shows, "A Bridal Affair," since 2004 at Middleton Hall in Waldorf. We worked hard to make our bridal show different. Our show was the first regional bridal show that provided a “strolling” fashion show versus a traditional runway fashion show. Its purpose was to allow attendees to see the bridal fashions up close and personal and it did not take attendees away from visiting vendor booths where an hour long fashion show would.
A Bridal Affair was also the first bridal show that incorporated Bridal Workshops or educations wedding planning seminars into the show. We brought in experts who lead sold-out seminars on topics such as wedding planning and trends in flowers and invitations. Several vendors in each category were present to talk to brides and answer questions.
Brides were also treated to food and cake tastings. As if that wasn’t enough, Southern Maryland Weddings sponsored a $25,000 Dream Wedding Giveaway with the help of local wedding vendors.
