I’m a big fan of all things “green,” as you probably know, so I was excited to see a report on NBC4 last week about “green” wedding gowns. They’re made of hemp, and I know what your first thought is: they’re either drab and shape less or hippy-trippy looking.
Wrong on both counts. Designer Adele Wechsler’s new Eco-Couture line of wedding gowns is elegant and classic. Heavy on strapless designs, the gowns range from simple to dresses with flowers and ruffles. There are sheath gowns, A-lines and fuller skirts, and even a short gown perfect for informal or destination affairs. Now brides looking to reduce their impact on the environment can have the gown of their dreams!
