Our Dream Wedding Giveaway winner walked into Today’s Bride & Formal Wear knowing what she wanted her wedding gown to look like.
And it turns out the 13th dress Erica Reitan tried on was lucky. That’s the dress to which she said “yes”!
“It was almost exactly what I imagined, but better,” she told us. “I knew I wanted something lace, most likely with sleeves or straps, and minimal to no beading.
“The back is so much more gorgeous than I imagined, and it’s ridiculously comfortable to wear. It feels like I am wearing a butter-soft maxi dress because of the way the material stretches.”
Erica made three trips to the store, first with her mother, fiancé Corey Wood’s mother, and her maid of honor. A few days later, she visited with one of her bridesmaids. That’s when she found “the one,” with the help of Today’s Bride consultant Eva.
On Saturday, March 25, Erica and her mother went back to the store to try the dress on again. “When I put this dress on, I was so happy because it was the only one that looked and truly felt like ‘me,’” Erica said. “My mom also cried, which was a big sign!”
Today’s Bride is the right place to be when you’re looking for a variety of dress styles and types to try on. Long one of Southern Maryland best-kept secrets, the Lexington Park store carries something for every bride from a wide range of designers and design houses. Today’s Bride also carries bridesmaids gowns and offers tuxedo and suit rentals for the guys.
Erica tried on about 15 dresses before choosing the gown she did. “The entire experience was amazing with Today’s Bride, and I can’t thank them enough for their generous donation and for helping me find my dress!” Erica said.
“The best part of dress shopping was working through the process to find out what I liked, what I didn’t, and then finally having that moment where I knew I found it,” she added.
