Who to perform the ceremony can be a tricky question, especially if you don’t attend church regularly or if you and your fiancé are from different religious backgrounds. The solution might be closer than you think: National Public Radio reported this weekend that more and more couples are opting to ask a friend or relative to perform their ceremony – provided that friend has gone through the proper channels, of course. Most officiants-to-be choose to get ordained online; just make sure their paperwork is legal where you want to marry.
